Ada Belle Berry, 89, of Liberty died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Whitewater Commons Senior Living Center in Liberty.
Ada was born in Liberty on October 25, 1926, to John W. and Rosetta Wallen Conklin. In earlier years, Ada worked at Woolworth’s 5 & 10, Stants, and Oxford Laundry for ten years and was always a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, drawing, and working crossword puzzles.
Ada is survived by two sons: Jerry Sayres and wife, Joanna of Brookville, and Larry Sayres of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, her first husband, Marvin Sayres who died in 1996, and her second husband, Eli Berry who died in 2001, Ada was preceded in death by a brother, John Conklin; and four sisters: Alberta Hartley, Dorothy Wolf, Bette Jack, and Betty Watt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Showalter Blackwell Tilton Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, in College Corner. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery.
