Alan Michael Wicker, 23, passed away peacefully September 25, 2013 surrounded by his family at IU Medical Center after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He was born October 15, 1989 in Richmond, IN.
He was a lifelong resident of Union County and attended Union County High School. He had been employed at Webb’s Antique Mall.
Alan was an animal lover, enjoyed antiques, fishing, shooting guns, being outdoors, working on cars, repairing and riding bicycles. He was a loyal son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a compassionate, giving and kind person.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Tim Wicker (Neisah) of Brownsville, his mother and step-father, Marta Ball (Anthony) of Metamora, brothers, Jerad Wicker (Tina) of Victorville, CA, Jason Wicker (Jessika) of Liberty, Brandon Wicker of Brownsville, Justin Wicker (Amanda) of Connersville, Zack Chewning (Stella) of Brunswick, GA, sisters Jessica Jenkins (John) of Brunswick, GA and Christina (Ronnie) Hash of Walnut Creek, CA, step-brother and sister Dalton and Kaitlyn Ball of Brookville. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 pm Friday, October 4 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 pm till the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral cost.
