Alberta Marie Prifogle

Former business owner, Alberta Marie Prifogle, 80, of Connersville, died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Heritage House of Connersville. A Connersville native, Alberta was born April 15, 1937 to Ernest and Ruth McCrady Jones and attended Connersville area schools. On September 1, 1956 Alberta married Zane B. Prifogle. Together they had owned and operated Prifogle Repair Service since 1982 and were life members of the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association. They enjoyed traveling, going out to eat and attending gas engine shows in Portland. Alberta loved tending her floral and vegetable gardens. Alberta is survived by her siblings: Francis “Bud” Jones and his wife, Joan of Rushville; Gene Jones and his wife, Sharon of Muncie; Ed Jones and his wife, Judy; Barbara Bunch; Helen Purcell, both of Connersville; Mary Threet of Muncie; sister-in-law: Clara Jones; several nieces and nephews that they treated as grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband of fifty-three years; Alberta is preceded in death by her infant sons: Mark J. Prifogle, Calvin J. Prifogle and Clark W. Prifogle; her brothers: Jerry and Norman Jones. At this time, there will be no public services following cremation. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville is handling the arrangements.
