Alta Maxine Ingram, age 94, of Farmersville Ohio, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her
residence.
Alta Maxine Ingram was born to the Rev. Erlie and Lillian Gulley on November 19, 1929, in
Metamora Indiana. She would be the first of 6 children. She met a young man while attending
school in Metamora. When Lowell Ingram returned home from the South Pacific after the war,
they were married at Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was 16 years old, he was 20. Job
opportunities soon took them to Dayton, Ohio, where they built a nice home out in the country
and raised two strapping sons, Mark and Randy. They stayed in this home for the rest of their lives.
Lowell passed away in 1997 and she continued to live out the rest of her days in that same house,
planting a wide variety of flowers, gardening, baking, welcoming guests and generally spoiling her
8 grandchildren.
She is survived by 1 sister, Darnell Aponyi, of Brookville, Ohio, 2 sons, Mark of New Lebanon,
Ohio and Randy (Christine) of West Alexandria, Ohio. 8 grandchildren: David Ingram, of
Richmond, Indiana, Angela Ingram of Jacksonville, Florida, Shayla Jerdon, of Chandler, Arizona,
Matthew (Catherine) Ingram of Noblesville, Indiana, Heather (Chaz) Dudas of Cincinnati,
Virginia (Kyle) Nepomuceno, of Phoenix, Arizona, Ashley (Cody) Nussbaum of Jacksonville,
Florida and Laura (James) Metz of Brookville Ohio along with 11 great-grandchildren with 2
more on the way.
Services will be held at Grace Community Church, 308 Meadow Lane, Liberty on Friday,
December 22nd at 12pm with visitation at 11am until time of the service with Pastor Troy Caudill
officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery.
