Anita L. Kinney, 80, died Sunday July 28, 2013, at Hoverwood Nursing Home in Indianapolis.
Anita was born in Laurel, August, 18, 1932, to Lewis and Daisy May Corn French. She attended Connersville High School and on April, 11, 1953, married Harrison K. Kinney at Center Christ Patronage. Anita worked at Ford/Visteon for 40 years. After retiring she became a member of the Ford Retirees Union. She was formally of the Orange Community, and attended the Orange Christian Church. Anita was an excellent cook, who enjoyed reading and playing cards in her spare time.
Anita is survived by her daughter: Jean Ann Froehlich and her husband, William of Zurich, Switzerland; brother: Charles Rodney French of Armand Beach, Florida; two grandchildren: Rachael and Tyler Froehlich; brother-in-law: Jim Bull of Connersville; several nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband Harrison, who died December 14th, 1993; two daughters: April Lynn and Arvilla Louise Kinney; two sisters: Joy Lou Fish and Janet Bull; brother: Lewis “Sunny” French.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Brother Ray Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
