Audrey J. Brown, 93, formerly of the Liberty community, died Thursday morning, March 28, 2019, at the Knolls of Oxford, Oxford, Ohio. Audrey was born on the 4th of July, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence R. and T. Irene Hyatt Cox. She was a 1943 graduate of Alquina High School in Fayette County and married Eldon A. Brown on April 21, 1946 at the First United Methodist Church in Connersville. Audrey had been employed at McQuay-Norris during WW II and enjoyed work as a volunteer while raising her family. Later, she worked at Whitewater State Park and for several years, was employed at Miles-Richmond, Inc. She was a hard worker and had built a total of seven houses with her husband in their spare time. Audrey is survived by her daughter: Susan McCarty of Cincinnati, Ohio; her son-in-law: Henry “Hank” Fallat of Liberty; grandchildren and their spouses: Ryan McCarty and Goldie of Chicago, Illinois; Stephen McCarty and Tracy of South Pasedena, California; Andrew Fallat and Kari of Seattle, Washington; Elizabeth Fallat of Louisville, Kentucky; her great grandchildren: Sophie McCarty, Sybil Fallat, Dylan McCarty; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband of over 69 years, Audrey was preceded in death by her son: Thomas L. Brown; her daughter: Rebecca Fallat; and her brother: James R. Cox. A public graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019, at Union Cemetery, Garden of Memories in Fayette County. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, P.O.
