Beatrice “Bea” Perin, 86, of Connersville, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at The Lincoln Centers-West where she had resided the past month.
Bea was born in Cambridge City, July 31, 1926, to Orville and Ercell Bogard Boyd and was a graduate of Lincoln High School there. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was the choir director for many years. Most recently, she had attended Central Christian Church. For most of her working career, Bea was employed as a placement counselor at the Employment Office in Connersville and was instrumental in helping many area residents secure gainful employment. She was an artist and enjoyed painting with oils in her leisure time.
Bea is survived by her husband, Charles; an aunt: Ethel Seffrin of Cambridge City; a sister-in-law: Wanda Boyd of Cambridge City; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold and James Boyd.
Public graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Dale Cemetery with Rev. Betty Ann Garrett of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church officiating.
