Becky L. Chaney

Becky L. Chaney, 70 of Connersville, died Monday May 25, 2020 at Reid Health in Richmond. Becky was born July 15, 1949 to Ray Kenneth Carter and Margeurite Rebecca Powell Carter in Connersville. She attended Connersville area schools and was a lifetime native of the Connersville area. On January 19, 1991 she married Robert D. Chaney. She worked at several local factories before retiring from Gas America, where she loved interacting with her customers. Becky was a long time member of the local Moose Lodge. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Becky is survived by her husband, sons: Brian K. White and his fiancé, Alicia McCarroll of Connersville, Robbie D. Chaney Jr. and his wife, Pam of Dublin, Indiana, Patrick K. White of Connersville, Michael L. Chaney and his wife, Lindsey of Connersville; brother: Harold Lee Carter and his wife, Phyllis of Shelbyville, Indiana; grandchildren: Brooke Cassidy and her husband, Kevin, Collin Herron, Presley Marshall; great-grandchildren: Kinley Cassidy, Collin Cassidy, Nolan Cassidy; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Becky is preceded in death by her brother: Clifford Ray Carter Jr.; sisters: Phyllis Ann Hall, Carolyn Sue Powell and an infant sister, Darlene Kay Carter. Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Friday, May 29, 2020 at Dale Cemetery. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to Indiana University Foundation in care of The School of Medicine.
