Bessie Frye

Bessie Frye, 71, of Connersville, died Saturday October 19, 2013 at Hickory Creek of Connersville. Bessie was born November 24, 1941 in Cincinnati to Bruce and Virginia Addis. She attended Cincinnati area schools and on January 25, 1955, Bessie married Charles Frye. In 1978 they moved to the Connersville area. She worked at J and J Packaging in Brookville. Bessie enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, cooking and was an avid bingo player. Bessie is survived by her husband Charles Frye; her children and their spouses: Charles Frye III and Belinda of Cambridge City, Gary Frye of Union City, James Frye and Dorothy, Robert Frye and Casey, David Frye all of Connersville, Margaret Frye of Richmond, IN, Lisa Woodward and Joe, Balethea Dickey and Joe all of Connersville; brother: Amos Addis of Cincinnati; sister: Marilyn of Cincinnati; thirty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bessie is preceded in death by her son: Johnny Ray Frye. Bessie’s funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Reverend Chris Lovett of Cross Pointe Biker Church officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Thursday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
