Betty Arlene Rodenburg

Connersville,Indiana Betty A. Rodenburg 84, of Union County, Indiana, died at her residence Wednesday, August, 08, 2018. Betty was born November 28, 1933, in Connersville Indiana to Eddie and Freda Kopple Thomas. Betty married the love of her life, Paul E. Rodenburg on February 14, 1954. She was a 4-H leader and Involved in Home Ec. Club and was a band booster.She enjoyed spending time with her cats and with her family. She also crocheted hats and donated them to the hospital for newborns.She had been employed at Kroger in Connersville and owned and operated a craft store in town. Also, Betty worked beside her husband Paul on the farm. Betty is survived by her children and their spouses: Brenda Rodenburg of Connersville; Kenneth and SueAnn Rodenburg of Brownsville; Sharon and Joseph Holt of Liberty; 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren and 3 nieces: Norma, Janet, and Linda, whom Betty loved spending time with. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Rodenburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel with Jeff Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Abington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
