Beulah “Faye” O’Neal affectionately known as “Momma Faye”, 72, of Connersville, died early Tuesday morning, November 25, 2014, at Hickory Creek of Connersville.
Faye was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on May 22, 1942 to Stanley and Ethel Johnson Kirby. Faye owned and operated the Golden Key and White Cottage Restaurant with her husband, William Keith O’Neal. She had also been employed at Philco, J & J Packaging and as a cook at the Fayette County Jail. Faye was a member of Solid Rock Community Church. She was also a member of AMVETs, Eagles, Moose Lodge and V.F.W. auxiliaries. In Faye’s leisure time, she enjoyed serving God, gardening and bird watching. She especially enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Faye is survived by her daughters: Violet Clark and her fiancé , Kenny Hamilton of Connersville; Teresa G. Durham and her fiancé, Michael Parrett of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandchildren: Jeremy Clark of Lexington, Kentucky; Joshua Clark; Brandi Nichole Clark; Clayton Clark, all of Connersville; her great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Lunsford; Devon Lunsford; Garrett Clark; Carlie Drew; Kaden Clark; Kyeara Clark; her sisters: Helen Lawson of Jackson County, Kentucky; Lydia Burton and her husband, Glen of Nicholasville, Kentucky; her brother: Tommy Kirby of Lexington, Kentucky; her beloved dog: Coco; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers: Amos, John, Vernon, Floyd, and Homer Kirby; her sisters: Christine Vaughn; Rose Kirby; her second husband: William Keith O’Neal.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in New Fairfield Cemetery, Sims Section, Franklin County, Indiana. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society.
