Beulah Osborn, 75 of Palmetto, Florida and formerly of Connersville died Wednesday night, May 6, 2015 in Palmetto, Florida.
A Connersville native, Beulah was born July 29, 1939 to Aaron and Addie Friend Moore and attended Connersville area schools. On November 23, 1970, she was married in Columbia City to Evan S. Osborn, Jr. who died December 7, 2007. Beulah had been employed at the former Fayette Bank and Trust and as a private caregiver. In her leisure time, she enjoyed karaoke and going out or ‘honky tonkin’ as she referred to it. Beulah especially loved her grandchildren.
Beulah is survived by her children and their spouses: James Messer & Robyn of Palmetto, Florida; Jason Messer & Nancy of Connersville; Vonda Skinner & Jon; Gwen O’Connor & Rick, all of Indianapolis; her brothers: Earl Moore of Florida; Lindsey Moore and his wife, Eloise of Illinois; her sisters: Laura V. Frey and her husband, Frank of Columbia City; Alice Faulkner of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband of thirty-seven years, Beulah was preceded in death by her sisters: Susie Irick and Velma Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
