Beulah J. Powers,81, of Liberty, died in Vevay, Indiana, on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
Beulah was born in London, Kentucky, on June 16, 1933, to James Everett and Nellie Dees Hubbard. She married Bennie Thomas Powers who died August 5, 1987. Beulah was a homemaker and loved her family, cooking, bingo, and the casino.
Beulah is survived by three sons: Larry Cox and wife Pam of Winchester, IN, Gary Powers and wife Cindy of Bluffton, IN, and Jerry Powers and wife Kathryn of Warren, IN.; one daughter, Debbie Bennett and husband Don of Liberty; four brothers: John Hubbard of Hagerstown, Walter Hubbard and wife Marilyn of Liberty, Drexal Hubbard and wife Marie of Richmond, and Joe Hubbard of Richmond; three sisters: Mary Sparks and husband Jim of Richmond, Linda Davis and husband George of Liberty, and Dorothy Ray of Liberty; twelve grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Junior and Ronnie Hubbard; and one sister, Irene Puckett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with her grandson, Jason Wolf, officiating. Interment will follow in West Point Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
