Beverly Ann Mullin Gordon, 65, of Liberty, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at home with family members by her side.
She was born October 2, 1950 in Wayne County to Paul and Wanda Mullin. In addition to working several years as a master gardener for the Jack and Beverly Hunt family in Wayne County, Beverly worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in Union County for over 20 years retiring in November 2010. Since retiring, she was passionately active in providing day care for her youngest granddaughter, Tenlee Moon Gordon. Ever a caring person, she looked for the goodwill and comfort of others closest to her. In addition to her passion for her grandchildren, Beverly was an avid gaming person and enjoyed an occasional trip to Las Vegas with her late husband, Jerry, prior to his death.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda Mullin; sons: John (Rena), Lynn (Sue), and Darren (Donna) Gordon; daughter, Dawn Sanderson; brother, Mike (Chris Ann) Mullin; sisters, Chris (Mike) Peters and Patty (Jim) Rowe; four grandchildren, Sanford Gordon, Jessica Brown, Travis Sanderson and Tenlee Gordon; and four great-grandchildren, Elliott and Devin Brown and Reid and Eleanor Gordon.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry T. Gordon and her father, Paul “Moon” Mullin.
Honoring Beverly’s wishes, the family will observe a private graveside service at the convenience of the family in Richland Cemetery. A celebration of life memorial service is being planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Library or the preschool at the Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church in Liberty.
