Beverly Jean Heuer, 62, of Connersville, died on her birthday, Thursday, October 6, 2016, at her residence.
Beverly was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, October 6, 1954, to Arthur R. and Velma Margaret Frank Auen. In 1972, she graduated from Albert City Truesdale High School, Albert City, Iowa. Beverly furthered her education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, graduating in 1976 and completed her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Beverly positively influenced the lives of many people throughout her career as a social worker. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Mason City, Iowa and enjoyed traveling. In her leisure time, Beverly liked to read romance novels, collect angels and play cards.
Beverly is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth M. Heuer of Denver, Colorado; her Mother: Velma Auen of Albert City, Iowa; her siblings: Marlene Kuhn of Connersville, Marilyn Ball of Dallas, Texas; Elaine Fisher and her husband, Robert of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Craig Auen of Albert City, Iowa; nephews: Matt Kuhn and his wife, Elizabeth; Mike Kuhn, Cory Fisher; great-nephews: Dylan and Robert Kuhn.
In addition to her Father, Beverly was preceded in death by her nephew: Steven Fisher; her grandparents and four uncles.
Memorial services will be conducted at St. John Lutheran Church, Rural Albert City, Iowa, Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Mayer officiating. She will be laid to rest following the services in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of service.
