Bobby Eugene Day

Bobby Eugene Day, 50, of Connersville, died Monday morning, February 23, 2015, at his residence. Bobby was born September 13, 1964 in Connersville to William Eugene and Virginia Reece Day and also attended Connersville area schools. He worked in construction and concrete and had been employed at Lake Innovative Group, Connersville Mirror Works, D & M Manufacturing and Absocold Manufacturing. Bobby was a member of Trinity Praise & Worship Center. He was a light hearted, family oriented man who especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bobby also enjoyed spending time at home and telling jokes. In his leisure time, he liked to hunt, fish and support NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Bobby is survived by his children: Kellsey R. Day and her husband, Raven Belt; Chris Fox and his wife, Alexis, all of Connersville; Cassie Hicks and her husband, Dillon of Milton; his mother and step-father: Virginia Day-Ables and Roy of Eaton, Ohio; his girlfriend of thirty years: Kim Fox; his brother: Tommy Day and his wife, Barbara; his sister: Tracy Wells and her husband, Danny, all of Connersville; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Bobby is preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Day, who died July 24, 1985. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, with Pastor Ronnie Russell of Pentecostal Tabernacle Church officiating. Interment will follow in Village Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 p.m. Friday until the time of service.
