Brenda Joan Legere Kalkhoff

Brenda Joan Legere Kalkhoff, 68, of Connersville died Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her residence. Brenda was born to Jack and Shirley Crow Legere on November 26, 1953 at the Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. She grew up in Spokane, but due to her father being in the Air Force, Brenda moved around as she got older. They eventually made their way to Indiana where she met Ted Kalkhoff. Brenda and Ted were married on April 3, 2001 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Brenda was employed as a nurse’s aid for many years prior to working at Parkview Restaurant as a cook. She enjoyed fishing and spending every minute with her husband. In addition to her husband of twenty-one years and his family, Brenda is survived by her son: Jeff Hanks; daughters: Kristina Hanks and Tonya Clark all of Washington; brothers: Jack Legere and David Legere both of Connersville; sister: Denise of Washington. Four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit the funeral home from 12:00p.m. until time of service.
