Brian Harvey, 51, of Liberty, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Reid Hospital and Health Care Services.
Brian was born on May 28, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio to Jerry Lee and Barbara Sayers Harvey. He has worked for Coleman Logging for 25 years and was a member of the National Logger Association. Brian’s true love was his family he was an avoid outdoorsman, enjoyed gardening, his chicken and two dogs.
Survivors include his wife, the former, Teresa Berry; mother: Barbara Harvey and her significant other: Clayton Coleman all of Liberty; step-mother: Kathleen Harvey; daughter: Mandy Harvey-Collins and her husband Jonathana all of West College Corner; son Brad D Harvey and his wife Casey; brother: Berry Harvey and his wife Jamie all of Liberty; sister: Deborah Andecover and her husband Matt of Richmond; grandchildren: Lexi Stevens, Noah Snodderly, Haley Harvey, Gracie Collins, Brison Harvey and two on the way in July; special aunt and uncle: Ronnie and Shirley Schnider; friend: Raymond Siggers of Hagerstown; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death is his father: Jerry Harvey; his grandparent, and two uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty with Reverend Raymond Siggers of Faith United Baptist Church in Hagerstown officiating. Interment will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service where memorial contribution my be made to the Brian Harvey Fund.
