Cathy Drake

Cathy Drake, 53, of College Corner, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, December 12, 2017 at I.U. Health University Hospital, Indianapolis. Cathy was born April 17, 1964 in Oxford, Ohio to Bennie and Charlotte Amburgey Banks. In 1982, she graduated from Union County High School in Liberty. Cathy had been employed as a secretary at Miami University and McCullough Hyde Hospital, both in Oxford, Ohio. She previously had worked in Richmond, Indiana at Eastern Indiana Orthopedics and Reid Hospital. Cathy loved animals and spending time with her family. She was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. Cathy is survived by her daughter: Gracie Drake; her parents: Bennie and Charlotte Banks of College Corner, OH; her siblings and their spouses: Shawnda McKissick and Jeff of Pensacola, Florida; Ben Banks and Tammy of Richmond; her former Husband: Ronald Drake of Liberty; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Cathy was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Banks; her paternal grandparents, Curtis and Gertrude Banks; and her maternal grandparents: Wiley and Grace Amburgey. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, College Corner, Ohio. Interment will follow in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Ohio. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
