Charles E. Gambill

Charles E. “Chuck” Gambill, 83, died Thursday evening, December 15, 2011, at Lincoln Centers-East, Connersville. Chuck was a native of Lawrence County, born September 28, 1928 to William and Gladys R McFerran Gambill, both of whom preceded him in death. He was veteran of the U.S. Army. On May 24, 1958, he was married to the former Dolores E Higar. Chuck was employed for 47 years at Visteon and its predecessors, retiring in 1994. Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years; three children: Lenda S. Mills of Virginia, Hope Darnelle Hatfield of Fishers, James Edward Gambill of Connersville; five grandchildren: Andrea Mills, Michael Mills, both of Virginia; Nicholas Hatfield of Fishers, Noah Oglesby, Parker Gambill, both of Connersville, nieces, nephews and cousins. Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
