Cordelia “Dee” Radigan, 77, of Connersville, died early Saturday morning, November 22, 2014, at her residence.
Dee was born March 22, 1937 to Henry, Sr. and Oza Howard Young in Perry County, Kentucky. In 1957, she graduated from Connersville High School. Dee had been employed at Union Savings and Loan, the Connersville Country Club and Design and Manufacturing Rack Plant. For over twenty years, she owned and operated Little Bears Day Care. Dee was a member of the Connersville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had numerous callings within the church. She loved children and traveling, especially to the beach. Dee enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking.
Dee is survived by her children: Michael Edward McKinney and Katie Bachmann, Alicia Ann Osborne, Angela Lynn Zettee, all of Connersville; four grandchildren: Amanda Jo Caldwell and her husband, Jeremy; Kayleigh McKinney, Sarah D. McKinney, Jennifer Lynn Smith; four great-grandchildren: Kaleb and Kelli Caldwell, Kali Saylor, Kayson McKinney; a sister: Bertha Marcum of Connersville; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by two brothers: Henry Young, Jr. and Edward Ray Young; two sisters: Judy Bell Vanover and Betty Patricia Riebsomer; a great-grandson: Jaden McKinney.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, officiated by the Connersville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday where memorial contributions may be made to the family.
