Daniel Dean Jones Jr.

Daniel Dean Jones, Jr., 70, formerly of Cambridge City, died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Ambassador Healthcare, Centerville. Daniel was born June 17, 1943 in Connersville, the only child of Daniel Dean, Sr. and Alberta Maye Glisson Jones. He was raised in Connersville by his Aunt Allene Beth Evans. Daniel worked as a roofer in the community and had been employed at Roots Blower. He enjoyed his family, socializing with his friends and hunting and fishing. Daniel had a passion for motorcycles and cars. Daniel is survived by his children: Brenda Limpus, Jennifer Gabbard, both of Connersville; Tammy Jones, Kristine Jones, both of Franklin, Ohio; Ladawna Raby of Lebanon and Daniel Scott Jones of Connersville; step-children: Larissa Goodwin of Richmond and David Cook of Connersville; twenty-five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his grandson: Dalton Patrick Burgett and his Aunt Allene Beth Evans. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday where memorial contributions may be made to the benevolent fund at Lumpy’s Café, 20 S. Foote Street, Cambridge City, 47327.
