Longtime Liberty resident, Dian S. Paquet, 76, died Friday, January 7, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Cushing’s disease.
Dian was born to Clarence R and Thelma M. Hollingsworth Paquet on September 27, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana. She graduated from Short High with the class of 1963. Dian continued her education at the Miller Draughon Business College in Cincinnati and Lab Tech School through Reid Hospital. She was employed with Reid as a Lab Tech for many years. Dian was an animal lover, holding a special place in her heart for her dogs. She enjoyed traveling, taking care of her farm, and spending time with her dear friends. One of her proudest moments was winning the award for Largest Silver Maple Tree in the state of Indiana in 2015. Dian considered herself a Trekkie, as she was an avid Star Trek fan. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends.
In addition to her parents, Dian is preceded in death by her brother Dan Paquet.
At the request of Dian, no services will be conducted at this time. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation in Dian’s honor. Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with arrangements.
