Eddie A. Lucas, 66, of Connersville, died April 23, 2012 at Lincoln Centers East. On August 31st, 1945, Eddie was born to Ed and Josephine Steele Lucas in Connersville and attended Connersville High School. He retired in 1985 from Ford Electronics after nineteen years of service where he was a member of the International Union of Electrical Workers. He was a member of the Church of Salvation. In his leisure time Eddie enjoyed fishing, taking care of other’s yards, and spending time with his family, and especially his grandkids. Eddie is survived by his four children and their spouses; Marjorie Burris and Joseph; Josephine Lucas, all of Connersville; Charles Lucas of Liberty; Christina Marcum and Shaun of Connersville; half-brother John Lucas; half-sisters Beverly Lucas, Joyce Lucas and Cathy Lucas; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Eddie is preceded in death by parents; his wife: Hettie Meyers Lucas; two grandchildren: Jonathan M. Mullins and Shaun D. Marcum Jr.; brother: Stanley Lucas; three sisters Dorothy Foreman, Darlene Duncan and Nancy Foremen Public graveside services will be conducted Monday, April 30, 2012 at Dale Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Hahn and Pastor Phillip Marcum officiating. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
