Elizabeth Hampton Kehrer, 100, of Brownsville, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Lincoln Center East in Connersville.
Elizabeth, was born Breathitt County Kentucky, on January 28, 1915, to Henry and Niecy Sebastan. She was a homemaker and loved her family, camping, and visiting with people. Elizabeth volunteered at the Lincoln Center for many years and was a Pentecostal in her faith.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Jim Hampton and wife Gisela of Clearwater, Florida, and Larry Hampton and wife Brenda of Berne, Indiana; one daughter, Beverly Jean Richardson of Brownsville; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Hampton of Brownsville; a sister Rose Sebastian of Brownsville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Everett Hampton; her second husband, Lawrence Kehrer; a daughter, Virginia Lucille; and a son David Hampton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with Rick Hampton Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery in Richmond (Wayne County). Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service.
