Fay L. Theders, 71 of Camby and former Connersville resident, died early Monday morning, June 29, 2015 at her residence.
Fay was born September 30, 1943 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Clifton and Beadie Hinds. She graduated in 1961 from Chrysler High School, New Castle. Fay was married March 24, 1968 in New Castle to Charles A. “Tony” Theders, who died September 30, 2013. Fay and Tony owned and operated Theders Auction and Realty in Connersville for several years. She was also employed as a waitress and bartender in New Castle and Columbus, Indiana areas. Fay was a former Lady of the Elks and Women of the Moose member. In her leisure time, she enjoyed solving puzzles, crocheting, knitting and reading murder mystery novels. Fay especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Fay is survived by her daughters: Tanya Theders King and her husband, Tony of Camby; Christina M. Theders of Godfrey, Illinois; her granddaughters: Kimberly Colvin and her husband, Jerry of North Carolina; Morgan King of Camby; her great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Chloe Colvin; her sisters: Brenda McIver; Henrietta Covey, both of Connersville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband of forty-five years, Fay is preceded in death by her daughter: Lori Lynn Theders; her brother: Roy Hinds; her sister: Leanna Thatcher.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel with Pastor Tim Billups of Connersville Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University Hospice.
