Flora Frazee, 87, of West College Corner, Indiana, passed away April 4, 2015, at the Brookville Healthcare Center.
Flora was born August 10, 1927, in Cottage Grove, Indiana, to Robert and Virgie Marcum Pace She graduated from Union High School in College Corner in 1945. Flora married Elvin Frazee on March 11, 1950, in Richmond. Flora was a gifted teacher and her children and grandchildren were the fortunate recipients of this gift as she taught them how to read, write, add and subtract. Flora enjoyed playing her favorite games and occasionally would challenge her boys to a basketball shooting contest. She was a charter member of the Trinity Holiness Church and attended the College Corner Nazarene Church.
Flora is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elvin Frazee; all three of her sons: Jerry Frazee and wife Pam of Liberty, James Frazee and his wife Tama of West College Corner, and Larry Frazee and his wife Kathy of Woodburn, IN; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Flora will always be remembered for her loving devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Virginia Prather and Nancy Rogers; and three brothers, Boone, Herman and Robert Pace.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 10th at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, in College Corner with Rev. Randy Gentry of the College Corner Nazarene Church officiating. A private family graveside service will follow at the College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the College Corner Nazarene Church.
