Georgia Roberts

Georgia Ann Roberts, 76, of West College Corner, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. Georgia was born at home in College Corner on Monday, March 11, 1940, to Byge and Ruth Bryant Hampton. She graduated from Union High School in College Corner in 1958.Georgia worked as medical records clerk at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford for 38 years retiring on December 30, 2014. She was a member of the Harmony Road Church and the Red Hats. Georgia enjoyed reading, shopping, crocheting, seeing flowers, and spending time with grandchildren and family. Georgia is survived by three children and their spouses: Mike Roberts and Sarah of Cincinnati, Teresa Lewis and David of Oxford, and Mary Sweet and Denny of Hamilton; a brother: Walter Hampton and his wife, Margaret of Brentwood, MD; a sister: Mary Ayers and her husband, James of LaFollette, TN; Nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Showalter Blackwell Tilton Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, in College Corner with Pastor Dean VanWinkle officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery.
