Geraldine Louise Adams

Geraldine L. Adams, 96, of Liberty died on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Whitewater Commons Senior Living in Liberty. Geraldine was born in Preble County, Ohio on June 19, 1920, to Frank Carey and Helen Irene Parks Rinehart. She was a 1938 graduate of Dixon Township High School in Preble County. Geraldine also attended Miami Jacobs Business College in Dayton. On January 5, 1946, Geraldine married the love of her life, Howard L. Adams, at her parents’ home in Preble County Ohio. They enjoyed fifty-seven years together before he died on February 18, 2003. Geraldine was employed at the Union County Welfare Office and retired in 1985. She enjoyed bowling, farming, following sports, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing sports. Geraldine was an avid IU fan. She was a member of the Four Mile Church of the Brethren. Geraldine is survived by a son and his spouse: Noel Adams and Bonnie of Liberty; a brother and his spouse: Darrell Rinehart and Doris of Liberty; two grandsons: Neal Adams and Jill of Fountain City, and Douglas Adams and Shawna of Liberty; seven great-grandchildren: Tara Sipples, Madeline Adams, Emma Adams, Gunnar Adams, Madison Adams, Anna Lea and Dalton Adams; and two nieces and two nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Lyle Adams, on December 22, 2015. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family with interment following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Boston.
