Gevenna M. Gabbard Bottomley, 50, of Connersville, died at Reid Health, Richmond, Thursday, March 23, 2017.
A native of Connersville, Gevenna was born to Herschel Alvey and Freda Gabbard on November 6, 1966. She was a 1985 of Connersville High School and had been employed at Ford Electronics and Refrigeration for ten years. She had also worked as a retail clerk at Grandview Pharmacy. Gevenna was a movie fanatic and enjoyed swimming. She liked late model stock car racing and was an avid NASCAR fan that followed Jeff Gordon.
In addition to her parents, Gevenna is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jay “Mick” Bottomley; her grandparents, cousins: Charles Gabbard and Becky Lakes; and her uncle, Donnie Lakes.
Gevenna is survived by uncles, aunts and their spouses: Avery Gabbard and Sue, Emma Lee Keen and Bill, Dale Gabbard and Shirley, Mary Agnes Faber, all of Connersville; Imogene Lakes of Straughn; cousins: Sandy Lemen, Averill Mains, Gordon Keen, Annette Doerflein, Teresa Kalkoff, all of Connersville; Michele Schoenfeld of Greensburg, Tammy Westgerdes,of Columbus, Ohio; D.J. Gabbard, of Columbus, James Faber of Muncie, Jerry Lakes of Straughn, Ronnie Lakes of Lebanon, Ohio; her best friend: Michele Esham of Hagertown and her dogs: Bella and Topaz.
Public memorial graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Dale Cemetery, section K, with Marsha Newton officiating.
