Glenna L. Rhonemus, 80, of Liberty, died Sunday evening, February 3, 2013, at her residence. Glenna was born September 9, 1932, in Boston, Wayne County, to Robert and Edna Sheaffer Dance, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Short High School in 1950 and was married in Liberty to John William “Bill” Rhonemus on June 10, 1951. Glenna was a member of the Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Farm Bureau and had served as Union County deputy auditor under the administration of Ernest “Jake” Fields. Most recently, she was employed as a teller at Farmer’s State Bank In College Corner and West End Bank in Liberty. Glenna most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and had been involved with many church and civic endeavors throughout the area. Glenna is survived by her husband of over 61 years; her son and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey W. and Dianne Rhonemus of Liberty; her grandchildren: Alison Rhonemus of New York, New York; Brian Rhonemus and his wife, Erica of Liberty; her sister: Rosemary Moore; her brother: Robert E. Dance and his wife, Carol of Liberty; nieces and nephews. Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, 4 West Seminary Street, Liberty, 47353 or Reid Hospice, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, 47374.
