Harold Ray Jenkins, 62, of West College Corner, died on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at his residence.
Harold was born in Okeana, Ohio, on June 11, 1953, to Robert and Elma Marie Gross Jenkins. He married Judy Adkins on November 7, 1975 in Hamilton, Ohio. He worked as a mechanic in the trucking business. Harold enjoyed building model cars, fishing, playing the guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching Truth Chapel on line.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, Harold is survived by three sons: Jerry Still and wife Sherry of Gratis, OH, Christopher Jenkins of West College Corner, and Calvin Jenkins of west College Corner; two daughters: Melissa Rich and husband Travis of Pacolet, SC, and Rose Chandley and husband Darryl of Lebanon, OH; three brothers: William Jenkins of West College Corner, Donnie Jenkins and wife Judy of Hamilton, OH, and Jeff Jenkins and companion Debbie of West College Corner; three sisters: Bobbie Jo Ward of Tampa, FL, Becky Jenkins of West College Corner; and Brenda McLaughlin of West College Corner; ten grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Jimmy and Michael Jenkins, Robert Lawrence Jr., and Ronnie Gross.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel in College Corner with Pastor Charles Petit officiating. Interment will follow in New London Cemetery in Hamilton. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to his wife Judy.
