Imagene Dolan

Imagene Dolan, 91, of Connersville, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Caroleton Manor of Connersville. Imagene was born December 3, 1921 in Rush County, to Lewis E. and Norma Helen Brunner Bennington. She attended Fayette County schools and was married in Connersville on April 1, 1939 to Xen F. Dolan, who died April 2, 1975. Imagene was a 61 year member of the First Baptist Church in Connersville. Imagene dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing and cooking. Imagene is survived by her daughters: Pam Bruns and her husband, Gary of Franklin Co. In., Sandy Hudson of Connersville; twin sister: Florine Hermann of Liberty; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Imagene is preceded in death by two sons: Billy A. and Xen Michael Dolan; brother: Phillip Bennington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 to 1 p.m. Wednesday where memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of the donor’s choice.
