Jane Stanley Nicholson, 85, of Liberty died Friday, December 13, 2013, at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond.
Jane was born in Peru, Indiana, May 30, 1928, to Walter and Zora Hathaway Teague. She earned her Master’s Degree at Indiana University. Jane was an elementary school teacher for about thirty seven years during which time she taught in Fayette County Schools for several years but the majority of her career was spent teaching in Union County Schools.
Jane was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, Union County Historical Society, Union County Foundation, and the Liberty Lions Club. She enjoyed working in the Union County Depot Museum.
Jane is survived by one daughter and her spouse: Dianne Rhonemus and Dr. Jeff of Liberty; two grandchildren: Alison Rhonemus of New York City, Brian Rhonemus and his spouse Erica of Liberty, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her first husband, J. Louis Stanley, her second husband, Donovan Q. Nicholson; and one brother, Walter W. Teague.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Dunlapsville Cemetery.
