Janet Kay Jordan

Janet K. (May) Jordan, 83, of Connersville, died Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017, at Premier Healthcare in Connersville. A Fayette County native, Janet was the daughter of Gilbert and Mildred (Shera) May born May 13, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate of the former Orange High School and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. On March 13, 1953, she married Ovie E. Jordan, who died June 10. 2010. Janet had been employed at Visteon and its predecessors until her retirement in 1977. Janet is survived by her children and their spouses: Cynthia Jordan, Sherri Robinson, David Jordan and Eunice, Lisa Pfenninger and Mike, all of Connersville; her sister: Marilyn Trebley of Rushville; 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and another great-great-grandson expected soon. In addition to her parents and her husband of 57 years, Janet was preceded in death by her grandson: Michael Jordan and her infant great-grandsons: Raphael Chisolm and Aiden Andrews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Brad Smith, Premier Hospice chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to Indiana University Alzheimer Research.
