Jean Kay Richardson

Jean Kay Richardson, 52, of Connersville, died Monday, January 25, 2016, at her residence. A Connersville native, Jean was born February 28, 1963, to Joseph Eugene and Linda L. Lane Rowe. She attended Connersville area schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jean collected dog, cat, dolphin and M & M figurines. She enjoyed embroidering and was an Elvis fan. Jean is survived by her husband, Wayne L. Richardson, whom she married July 3, 1999 in Roberts Park; her step-sons: Robert James Richardson and Michael Wayne Allen Richardson, both of Connersville; six step-grandchildren; her siblings: Karen Reisinger and her husband, Ray; Phillip Rowe, Chris Rowe and his wife, Sandy; Robert Rowe, all of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her son: Bryan Gene Rowe who died August 1, 2006; a sister: Kathy Horn and her husband, Bill; a sister-in-law: Karen Dragoo Dixon; brother-in-law: Rick Richardson; and a nephew: James Joseph Rowe. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to the Fayette County Humane Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
