Jeri Mitchell, 51, of Connersville died Wednesday afternoon, November 6, 2014, at her residence.
Jeri, a Connersville native, was born January 13, 1963 to Jerald K. “Smokey” and Sharon Kay Ross Mitchell. She attended Connersville area schools and later received her General Education Diploma. For over ten years, Jeri worked on the radiator assembly line at Visteon and its predecessors. Jeri cherished her granddaughter, Alexus, and the time they spent together. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bingo, being outdoors, going fishing, and mushroom hunting. Jeri attended CrossPointe Biker Church and especially enjoyed participating in geocaching.
Jeri is survived by her daughters: Miranda Linville and husband, Brad of Muncie; Elisha Winstead; her granddaughter: Alexus Ash; her sister: Libby Simmons and husband, Mark; her nieces: Misty and Kelsey Simmons, all of Connersville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved dog: Willow.
Jeri is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday where memorial contributions may be made to the family.
