Joanne Buch, 89, of Connersville, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Lincoln Centers East, where she had been a resident for the past seven years. Joanne was born in Connersville February 8, 1926 to Rudolph V. and Laura Hamilton Konstanzer. After graduating from Connersville High School in 1944, she was employed at F.W. Woolworth Company. Married here August 7, 1955, at First United Methodist Church to Leslie Buch, of New Braunfels, Texas, they resided in Texas for several years before returning to Connersville for residence. She was a member of the East Side United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved her pet cats.
Surviving are her husband, Leslie; two sons, Rick Buch and Ken Buch, both of New Braunfels; a brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Carolyn Konstanzer of Connersville; several nieces and nephews in California; several cousins; and special friends, Cena and Sanford Graves.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Staton of California.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, with Reverend Malcolm Greene of East Side United Methodist Church officiating.Interment will take place at a later date in New Braunfels, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Alzheimer’s Disease Center, Fayette County Animal Shelter or to East Side United Methodist Church.
