Joanne Oney

Joanne Oney, 88, of Connersville, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Hickory Creek of Connersville. Joanne was a native of Connersville, born January 26, 1925 to Frank and Mable Marie Mitchell Pavy and had attended Connersville High School. She had been employed at REX Manufacturing, Philco-Ford and most recently as a nursing assistant at the former Lincoln Manor Nursing Home. Joanne loved spending time with her family and children. She liked country music, especially, Gene Watson and Roy Orbison. In her leisure time, she liked to solve crossword puzzles and play cards and Yatzee. Joanne is survived by her children: Saundra K. Hreno of Mooresville; Rusty Oney and his wife, Vickie of Indianapolis; Tim Clark and his companion, Henrietta Ripberger of Connersville; Timi Jo Mack and her husband, Jason of Greensburg; nineteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her son: Fred Clark; a brother: Leland “Bud” Pavy; and a sister: Eleanor A. Spicer. Public graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Everton Cemetery. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
