Joseph D. "Joey" Riebsomer

Joseph D. “Joey” Riebsomer, 20, of Connersville, died early Saturday morning, July 26, 2014, in the emergency room at Fayette Regional Health System. Joey was born in Oxford, Ohio, August 18, 1993, to David J. and Mary L. Drew Riebsomer. In 2012, he graduated from Connersville High School. Joey was employed in construction with Town and Country Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found kayaking or playing paintball with his friends. Joey also enjoyed games on his PlayStation. In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by his sister: Cassie Riebsomer of Connersville; his paternal grandmother: Garnet Riebsomer of Fayette County; his close friends: Cyrah Blanton and her son, James of Connersville; James “Fry” of Connersville; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joey is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Joe F. Riebsomer; his maternal grandparents: Casper and Anne Drew. A Celebration of Joey’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery.
