Joshua Wade Neukam, 32, of Brookville, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at his residence.
Josh was born May 31, 1979 to Roger and Javonia Williams Neukam in Hinsdale, Illinois. Josh attended Connersville High School and later earned his GED. He had worked as a machinist for STI in Greensburg. Josh loved spending time with his daughters and being outdoors. He enjoyed many outdoors actives including camping, whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, riding dirt bikes and quads.
Josh is survived by two daughters: Shalyn Neukam; Marissa Neukam, both of Connersville; father: Roger A. Neukam; paternal grandmother: Jean Neukam, both of Brookville; maternal grandmother: Gearldine Williams, of New Castle; aunts and uncles: Randy C. and Janice Neukam, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; Danny L. Neukam, of Brookville; Krista L. Schneider, of Connersville; Doug Williams, of Oklahoma; James Curry, of Illinois; Terry Curry, of Kentucky; Summer Marenger, of Shelbyville; Crystal Smith, of Brookville,;several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his mother: Javonia Neukam; paternal grandfather: Calvin C. Neukam; maternal grandfather: Ora Curry; maternal step-grandfather: Doug Williams; and uncle: Harold “Chewy” Schneider.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Fuzzy Lake of the Christ Jesus Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to the family.
