Joyce Bradburn, 67, of Connersville died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence after a brief and sudden illness.
Joyce was born July 7, 1949 in Polk County, Des Moines, Iowa to Keith and Esther Mickesh and attended Polk County schools including Polk High School where she graduated in 1967. Joyce also graduated from Tulsa Junior College in Tulsa, Oklahoma with an Associate’s Degree in Business Accounting. She was then employed at Kaiser Francis Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the business accounting department. Joyce married Marion W. “Bill” Bradburn on October 21, 1974. Joyce was an outgoing, generous and kind woman who greatly enjoyed finding new cooking recipes and feeding birds, especially hummingbirds. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed needle point and crocheting. Joyce was also very artistic; most recently she made a dolphin mural out of numerous tiles for her bathroom. Her favorite activity was gardening; Joyce had a passion for her flowerbeds, trees and vegetable garden. In her leisure time, she enjoyed being in the sun and waterskiing.
Joyce is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Marion W. “Bill” Bradburn; her daughters: Julie Kelley and her husband, Billy Raye of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; Ginger Myers of Ivans, Utah; her step-daughter: Gina Watkins and her husband, Rick of Crestview, Florida; her mother: Esther Mickesh of Milton, Florida; her brother: Wade Mickesh of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren: Dylan, Taylar, Connor, Christian, Carson; one great-granddaughter: Finley; several nieces and nephews.
Joyce is preceded in death by her father: Keith Mickesh.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Dale Cemetery.
