Judy Sue Gross, 67, of Oxford, died on Monday, June 30, 2014, at her residence where she lived the last five and a half years.
Judy was born in Gray Hawk, Kentucky, on May 17, 1947, to Luther and Edna Parrett Adkins. She had been employed as a rental agent. Judy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and sewing, making many outfits for her children’s Barbie Dolls as well as countless other things.
Judy is survived by one son, Timothy Gross of Excello, IN; two daughters: Lisa Byrd of Oxford, OH, and Lori Rose and husband Ernie of Middletown, OH,; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one soon to come; two nephews and one niece whom Judy raised: Randy and Robbie Parrett and Beverly Ferguson. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Bobby Peters Parrett and Harold Parrett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7th , at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, 4 County Line Street, College Corner, with Judy Ramsey of Ambassador’s Point Church in Oxford officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 noon Monday until time of the service.
