Keith Crane, 73, of Liberty, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at his residence after a brief illness.
A Liberty native Keith was born on August 9, 1938 to Robert and Ruth Pierce Crane, both of whom precede him in death. Keith graduated from Short High School in 1957 and had worked for Wayne Dairy for several years. Keith retired from the City of Richmond in 2000 where he worked as a Transit Driver. Keith enjoyed being with his family, watching all kinds of sports, playing cards, and bowling.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia Moore Crane whom he married December 2, 2005; two daughters: Joy Crane of Dade City, Florida; Stephanie Crane VanWinkle of New Paris, Ohio; two step-daughters: Tisha Donovan, Rachel Dunn and her husband Rick all of Liberty; sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Clarence “Cookie” Hyre of Richmond; nine grandchildren: Jessica Corrao and her husband Tony, Alexis Jehnsen, Brittany Jehnsen, Savannah Crane, Tyler VanWinkle, Tyler Dunn, Cameron Donovan, Amanda Dunn, Hannah Dunn; two great-grandchildren: Sophia Corrao, Saniya Jehnson; sister-in-law: Vicky Tipton; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Betty and Virgil Moore, whom he had been good friends with for many years; many cousins including Butch Pierce; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty with Evangelist Richard Hahn of Family Worship Center in Blooming Grove officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 122 and VFW Post #1472, both of Liberty. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 pm until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
