Lillian Jarrett, 102, of Connersville died Wednesday afternoon, October 1, 2014, at Reid Hospital, Richmond.
Lillian was born in Rockcastle, Kentucky on February 19, 1912, to Benjamin and Eva Reynolds Hill. In 1938 she was married to Cecil Howard Jarrett, who died February 16, 1964. Lillian was employed with Werking Printing from 1959 until its closure. She enjoyed flowers, cardinals, listening to her wind chimes and working in the yard. Lillian also enjoyed spending time with her family and her children.
Lillian is survived by her children: Joe Jarrett and his companion, Kathy Fowler; Mary Barbour and her husband, Bob, all of Connersville; Ronda Knipp of Fountain City; her brother: Hobert Hill and his wife, Lucille of Richmond; six grandchildren; one step granddaughter; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian is preceded in death by her son: Ronnie Jarrett; her brother: Lucian Hill; her sisters: Myrtle Adams and Hazel Chasteen; two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Tim Billups of Connersville Baptist Temple, officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society.
