Lillie Marcum, 79, of Liberty, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Reid Hospital.
Born to Botner and Sophia Messer in McKee, Kentucky on April 21, 1932. Lillie was an active member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and Loved spending time with her family. She retired from Park Manor Nursing Home in the late 1980’s where she worked as a nurse’s aide.
Survivors include her daughter: Marilyn Frye and her companion Larry Tussey; daughter-in-law: Pat Reaser all of Liberty; brother: Ronald Messer of Norwood, Ohio; grandchildren: Beverly Nash and her husband Jeff of Liberty, John Marcum of Indianapolis, Jeff Frye of Connersville, Felicia Reaser, and Nathan Reaser ; great-grandchildren: Kristine Elmore, Tyler Minier, Lexi Nash and Blake Nash; a great-great grandson: Cameron Elmore; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband: Johnnie B. Marcum; son: Melvin Marcum; three sisters: Ruth Messer, Mary York, and May Hornsby; three brothers: Clifton Messer, Jack Messer, and Ed Messer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Maple Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Null officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 12 pm until the time of the service where memorial contribution may be made to the church. Interment will follow in West Point Cemetery.
