Lois Lucille Quinlan, our beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov 2, 2012, at the Riverwalk Nursing Home, Noblesville, IN. She was with love ones.
She was born February 28, 1921 in Franklin County, one of four children of Frank and Viola Seal Roberts. On August 18, 1940, she married Charles A. Quinlan in Brookville. They had two children, Janice M and her husband, Michael Taylor of Noblesville and Charles Keith Quinlan and his wife, Gladys of Miami, Fl. She and her husband Charles owned and operated Clark’s Flower Shop and Greenhouses in Connersville for twenty seven years and enjoyed every moment serving their customers and working with their wonderful employees. Mrs. Quinlan was a member of East Side Methodist Church.
Her most cherished moments of her life was with her grandchildren, Susan E. Stein and husband Larry and David M. Taylor and wife, Jennifer, all of Noblesville, Tonya Quinlan Gibson and husband, Kent of Indianapolis and Tyson Quinlan and wife, Megan of Beech Grove, Timothy Quinlan of Chicago, Ill. and Jacob Quinlan of Miami, Fl; Great grandchildren are Lydia Ann and Elise Grace Taylor of Noblesville, Ryanne, Isabelle and Delaney Quinlan of Beech Grove. Reese Quinlan of Tampa, FL, Charlie and Sammy Stemmer and Justen and Jayden Jeserum-Miranda of Miami, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles, a brother Melvin Roberts and wife Margaret of Whitcomb, sisters, Marcella and Robert Spenny of Fairfield, OH. Elva and Lyle Smith of Brookville. Half-sisters Elenor Roberts and Elenora and Walter Seal of Bath.
Funeral services will be at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 6 Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Tuesday at the funeral home where memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
