Marjorie A. Russell, 77, of Connersville, died Monday morning, August 15, 2001, at her residence. Born November 1, 1933 in Franklin County, she was the only child of John and Edna Tague Simpson. Following her 1951 graduation from Connersville High School, she was employed at the telephone company for nine and-a-half years until her marriage to Hugh B. Russell on November 2, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee. Marjorie enjoyed working in her yard and vegetable garden, sewing and cooking. She especially loved her pet dogs, and was fond of the cows when she lived on the farm. Marjorie is survived by a daughter: Amy Green, of Connersville; two grandchildren: Brandon Jackson, of Connersville; Sara Green, of North Vernon; three step-children: John Russell, of Los Angeles, California; Sue Russell, of Grand Forks, North Dakota; Gayle Russell, of Campbellsburg; five step-grandchildren; and an uncle: Max Tague, of Rushville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Public graveside services will be held at Dale Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Stewart officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
