Former Liberty resident, Marlene Ellen Kitchel, 76, died Wednesday morning, September 5, 2012, at Golden LivingCenter-Golden Rule, Richmond Marlene was born in Richmond, December 16, 1935 to Bernard H. and Mildred E. Crouse Kitchel. She was a member of Hanna’s Creek Christian Church. Marlene is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Dona J. and Larry L. Miller of Liberty; nieces: Denise Miller, Kathy Moore, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; Vicki Miller of Panorama City, California; nephews and their wives: Jeffrey Miller and Lindsey of Barrington, Illinois; Brian Miller and Kam of Aurora; great-nieces: Kathleen and Carmen Miller, Brianna Moore, Gracie and Charlotte Miller, Ashlynn Miller; great-nephews: Michael Miller, Brennan Moore, Adam Jacob Miller, Ethan Miller. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by two brothers: Alan and Larry Kitchel. Public graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elkhorn Cemetery in southern Wayne County with Rev. Scott Bell of Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no public visitation. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty is in charge of the arrangements.
