Marlene Y. Lone

Marlene Y. Lone, 74, of Connersville, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Fayette Regional Health System. Marlene was born in Connersville, January 16, 1939 and was raised by her adoptive parents, Richard and Opal McDaniel Park. She attended school in Connersville and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. On June 7, 1958, Marlene was married in Connersville to Homer N. Lone who died February 1, 1997. Marlene spent her leisure time watching television and listening to country music. She was a collector of dolls, especially porcelain dolls. Marlene is survived her son: Richard N. Lone of Connersville; her daughter and son-in-law: Nila Y. Theetge and Frank of Connersville; her granddaughter: Alesha Lone of Connersville; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her adoptive parents and husband, Marlene was preceded in death by her birth mother, Marjorie Skinner. Public graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Valley Grove Cemetery on State Road 1N.
